Hi I am Cyndee! I have been overweight my whole life. I was my heaviest 15 years ago and realized I need to change my life when I saw a photo of myself that truly upset me...At that turning point in my life I surrendered myself over to weight watchers. I was successful and dropped 60lbs. Then the active lifestyle began. I was taking group x classes and walking daily, but it wasn't until 2 years ago when I joined InShape and hired a personal trainer that my next transformation took place. Today I am active in spinning, boxing, hiking, 5k runs, boot camps and feel like a completely different person. I am fearless! I have a new goal so I have new challenges ahead. 


What to say about my transition from what I thought was in shape to actually being in great shape.

It started all by someone taking advantage of me at the gym. The staff stepped in and gave me some free personal training with April. I gave her the challenge of keeping me interested. I told her I wanted to lose some weight and get cut, but I didn’t want to lose any muscle while doing it.  Needless to say, I could not wait to buy more sessions with her.

Well April exceeded my expectations. I was never became bored, I actually found myself becoming very excited with each workout session, I never knew what we going to do next. April pushed me to my limits and passed. She helped me with the image of what I wanted my body to be and in the process gave me a new since of me. What I mean is, if your body is fit so is your mind. I’m an ER nurse and I work 12-hour shifts, which can become very physically and mentally draining. As my body became stronger so did my mind. I found that I was able to react to situations more proficiently and was able to work at a higher-level of energy than before.

April was able to show me how to work out in a manner that was different than what I was used to. I always was in the mindset of just lifting weights and doing cardio. She introduced me to interval training. Can I say, can’t get enough.

Anyway, I’m starting to train for an Olympic triathlon, which I will do at the end of this year, it will be my first. I have always wanted to do it, but thought it was out of my grasp. NOT NOW.

I would like to give a big thanks to April for giving me a new lease on life. At 48 years old, I’m in better shape than I was 18 years ago.

I had worked out with several different personal trainers before I met April. Unlike other trainers, she is very dedicated and serious about what she does. She is fun to work out together, too! She is the one who pushes me beyond my comfort level, helps me find interest in fitness, boxing, and healthy diet, and encourages me to mingle with other people through boot camps. My husband joined me a couple of years ago so we work out together with April. She has truly kept us in shape and healthy!
